Cabernet with Battier 2024 was held on Saturday, February 3rd at the one and only Byblos Shorecrest on Miami Beach. It was, in many ways, one for the record books! We are honored to have been joined by so many people who share in our mission to fund the dream of a college education, and so much more, to deserving young leaders across the country. 

The night kicked off with a wine tasting hosted by five outstanding Napa Valley institutions - Arietta, Verite, Stark Advantage, Stones and William Cole. Our sold-out crowd of 110 guests then went upstairs for an incredible three course dinner featuring many of Byblos’ signature Mediterranean dishes, paired expertly with vintages from our wine partners. A lively auction hosted by CK  Swett took place throughout dinner, where guests generously bid on experiences like golf with Shane at the legendary Ohoopee Match Club, a once-in-a-lifetime Omakase dinner at Haiku, and even a custom crocheted doll of Shane himself! A highlight of the evening was hearing from Chelsey, a Battier Scholar and third year medical student, who shared her ambition to become an OB/GYN and the role that the BTCF has played in helping her achieve that dream. The warmth with which she and our other scholars in attendance were received, was an incredible reminder of how lucky we are to do this work with so many kind and generous supporters. 

When dinner ended, the party moved back downstairs to the Byblos Lounge, where wine continued to be poured and guests got the chance to live out their rockstar dreams with live Karaoke! “Live Karaoke USA” - an incredible 5-piece band, played a wide range of songs, anyone and everyone got their turn on the mic! The band’s energy matched their talent, and they had the whole lounge on their feet until 2 am. They have been an incredible addition to the Cabernet with Battier experience!
